We recently filed Chapter 13 @ 100%. I know I don't have to pay my student loans during the BK but I owe $92000 on them and am trying to pay something each month to help out a little. I was having Sallie Mae apply my payment to the largest loan so we can get it down some. My question - since some of them are private, will they be settled through the bankruptcy? I thought all student loans had to be paid back. Isn't that correct? So regardless of subsidized or unsubsized, federal or private loans, I'm still responsbile for them all?

The private loans will not be settled through the bankruptcy. Some of your Ch 13 payments will go towards the student loan but not until your Chapter 13 is over. Until then, it will accumulate interest.
