First Premier Credit Card on bk list

i have a First Premier credit card i listed on my BK.

i still keep making payments and am wondering if they will do anything about it.

its only $500 limit. do they try to discharges this small?

will they shut down the credit card once they find out? i still pay the monthly bill.

i wonder if i should re-affirm so as to get my good credit hsitory of 1.5 years and keep it going.

    any thoughts or opinions.
Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

Well, your lawyer should have told you to stop payments.

They should block any new charges once they find out and are notified.

They may "Ask" for reaffirmation" but possibly you should just let them go into the pot with the others.

Once you have the deck cleared, you can start rebuilding.

      Call them.

Tell them that you want to keep this credit card, and keep paying on it, to keep your credit history established, and see what they say!

Keep in mind that First Premier may in fact not allow you to reaffirm your credit card with them. I've seen this happen on several occasions. You would have been better off simply forgetting to have listed First Premier on your BK petition.

          yes you are right.

if i do get to keep them open and re-affirmed then since i listed them on my Bk does that mean the credit report for them will show "BK" for them?

can the re-affirmation aggreement state that they have to keep it open? how can i get this worked in. anybody deal with this?

            Reaffirming

I think it depends on the creditor. I tried to keep one of my accounts open by continuing to pay and the creditor closed it anyway, "at this time" due to my BK filing this month (good standing for 11 years). I had intended to do the same thing as you: Keep it open to help re-establish myself. I had read other posts about this creditor seeking reaffirmation agreements (USAA). I have also read a post from someone who paid on an account as agreed through their BK, and when the account was paid off in full wrote a letter to the creditor simply asking them to remove the BK on the tradeline. Which they did. I've also heard of creditors negotiating to get that reaffirmation agreement signed with the cardholder, sometimes with the interest or total debt. I think is worth a phone call! I, too, want to recover as fast as I can. Good luck!
