If I file chapter 7, will I be able to keep my house and 2 cars? The cars are paid for, and I owe 90,000 on the house. I have to have the cars for transportation to work and for my son to drive him and his sister to school.

It is possible to take Chapter 7, yet reaffirm on things that you are current on and wish to continue paying for. With the automobiles you will not only have to have the payments current but proof of proper insurance as well. Only a lawyer could estimate what your chances might be of being allowed to reaffirm on these three things, but have everything discharged and even he/she couldn't say for sure. Good luck to you
