Corp President - unable to file tax return

Hi. I have a C Corporation and my tax return is due on Sept. 15th. I have been diagnosed with major depression and there is no way I can enter the information by the 15th. My hard drive with Quickbooks died a little over a year ago, although I believe I have since found a solution. Does the IRS have a provision that will grant persons disabled by severe depression additional time?

BTW, the Corp had zero revenues during the fiscal year of 2008.

    Thanks.

Can't you file for an extension?

If we are talking about the corporate income tax return (Form 1120), it won't be that big a deal.

Keep in mind, that penalties associated with the IRS are based on the amount of tax owed, so if you won't owe any tax, then there is no meaningful penalty for failure to file the return.
