    CR is a MESS! HELP!

Can someone tell me if I am doing the right thing? I checked my cr from all 3 CRAs. My score is so different with equifax (much lower) The only difference is that equifax is reporting past accounts as 'open' It looks like I have 3 mortgages, 8 car loans, etc... All the other agencies are reporting them as 'closed' I am mailing them a dispute to have all these accounts marked as 'closed' Should I do that? Will my credit score drop even more once I get officially discharged! Seems like a lot of work to fix this stuff. (but deep down I am excited about seeing my credit score go up) Thx in advance.

Send a certified letter to the credit bureau along with your discharge and matrix. Dispute items that are wrong and tell them they have 30 days to correct the problem or erase it from your credit report.
Also you may have to send a certified letter to the creditors demanding they report your account correctly and update it with the credit bureau.
This they are required by law to do and so is the credit bureau.

Give them 45 days, check your reports again. Should see where they have made corrections.

Yes bankruptcy does make your credit score go down quite a bit - but it will build back up.

A mortgage, vehicle payment, and credit card that reports monthly to the credit bureau can raise it back up quickly.

    Just be patient,

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
