    Double claims??

    So I already posted the other day about our local taxes and them claiming double what I owe.....Now today I checked Pacer and the same city has now filed another claim for $350! WT.....???? So now they have 2 claims in-- one for $453 and one for $350 and the bill I just got last week said I only owe 287....

    I have to call my attorney in the morning about something else, I'll need to ask about this.....YUCK don't like this part!
    Filed August 09, all payments made as of July 12th, 2013.....Waiting on final audit and discharge!

    They know taxes are not discoverable. You need to get an itemized bill or accounting from them. You might put a complaint with them that you will threaten an AP if they have lied and go after punitive costs or even larceny. That letter wouldn't hurt, but first, just request the total billing.       Ok so I looked a bit closer.....They filed a claim on my water bill which I paid last Friday????? WT????? SERIOUSLY??? REALLY???

        OK, that explains part of it. Make sure you get accurate records. Now thinking again, if it is only bills but not taxes, you can get them off. LOL. 'Hub

          Tell your lawyer what's going on and get him/her on this. You need to see their documentation justifying the claims. Your lawyer can make that happen.
