I met with a lawyer in NYS about filing chapter 13. He said my monthly payments would be about $300 a month and that would include my truck payment ( I owe 14,000 it is worth 6000) he said this $300 a month is with my truck being "crammed down" to the $6000. I do not want to keep this vehicle and he said that if I decided to do a voluntary repo and have my spouse take out a loan for a vehicle (I am filing individually) my payment will go down to about $150 a month. What happens when my truck gets repo'd, do I owe any additional $$ on that, or is that all taken care of in the Chapter 13? Also, I was told it is about 3 months before they will come and take the truck, do I need to keep it insured while I am waiting for the repo (I will not be driving it). This process has so many questions and so many open ended answers. Thank you for anyone that can explain this to me
