If the account is reporting incorrectly, she can probably get the entry removed. Most accounts have some errors. It involves writing to the creditor, writing to the credit bureaus, and it doesn't always work on the first try.

Paying someone else to do it, though, is a waste of money.

thanks. My idiot relative paid her ex to fix her credit report. His lawyer buddy said he''d help. Its a scam and she is on crack. I thought she was wrong but she likes to waste money.

One of the hardest things in when the people around you keep getting into things that to most of us are obviously bad ideas. I guess people in general tend to think things over only after its too late (or not at all)!

We have to do the best we can to when we're able, all the while reminding ourselves to that there may come a point when we have to let go and let them go it on their own.

If a vehicle was in fact repo'd, getting it removed from a credit report isnt going to happen. But you can have a remark entered, stating if the repo was voluntary or involuntary.

I've always wondered about those deals too... a friend of mine wanted to purchase a home last year but had some credit dings..she paid someone $1,000 and they cleaned it up completely (she even had a home foreclosure!). I couldn't believe it because it sounded to good to be true but now she is living in her brand spanking new home! I'm not sure how it works though...it only took the lady a few weeks.

There is a way to temporarily remove derogatory remarks from a credit report, if I remember correctly, it can removed within the range(s) 30-90 days. This is typically accomplished by challenging the accurateness and requesting that the credit bureaus invistigate the account(s) for accuracy. However, 99.9%of the times the derogatory remarks are put back on the credit report - because inaccurateness could not be established.
