    collection agency violated FDCTA twice

just found out from the FTC that a collection agency that I have a problem with has violated the fair debt collection act on two counts. how do I go about suing them? I Know that the attorney general's office files charges on these types of things but Do I have to go file my own in small claim? I read were these types of cases are heard in state and federal courts. any help would be apprecated.

Panic, I'm curious, what aspects of the FDCPA have they violated? In the meantime, I'll dig up my old "dos and don'ts" from when I was a collector and see what I can find out for you.
I'm not a lawyer or legal expert, just offering advice on what I may have gone through and/or have knowledge of. Good luck!

It depends how much you want to in vest in going after them. I have a CA that has violated my rights MANY MANY MANY times (over 8x Pre BK & about 6x during BK) . They violated the automatic stay about 5 times, and I even have pics of my caller ID of my phone of the dates and times they called. My lawyer said they would forward my case to the department that handles the violations, and basically it's really not worth the time they said . This CA company is JBC Legal, they have been MANY cases against them, and still nothing helps.

Good luck in trying to get things taken care of. Here is a link to the forum, of my run in with JBC Legal.
