Fires Ravage Oklahoma City, Texas Towns

CARBON, Texas - Bill Sandlin and his wife saw smoke on the horizon as they returned home from church and started watering their yard.
But as flames approached, they packed clothes, pictures and his gun collection. They drove off just as flames started to engulf their house and three barns, located about 125 miles west of Dallas.
"We hate losing our stuff, but at least everybody's OK," Sandlin said.
Wildfires raged across Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico on Sunday, burning homes and sparking a patchwork of flames across the region as gusting winds blew flaming embers into the dry grass.
I have cousins in: Taos, Farmington, >>Hobbs<<, Santa Fe, Roswell NM and more in OK City and in the surrounding towns..
They reported (Called me last night) that they are safe, but 4 of their friends have lost everything (Except pictures and lives (Thank God!)) and are getting ready to start the New Year by rebuilding...
One ladys husband was already on the phone to some of his friends who design buildings..He actually said the fire was a "Blessing" as "It would have taken me 3 years to clean out the basement and garage!"
My cousins are a bit nutty...Like me I guess!
