I have a question about my checking account. I have a financial aid disbursement that is supposed to hit 3 days after my sixty days is up (about 3k.) I have a BofA checking account but I'm worried because since my Fall disbursement I filed Ch. 7, and one of my creditors was Fleet Bank (for about 4k.) Apparently BofA purchased Fleet Bank last year (at least I think so) so I'm wondering if they will try to garnish/freeze the money once it's direct deposited into my account? Is this likely or am I just being paranoid?

If you have filed and have been discharged and have received NO information from the bank and they do take it or any amount..You very well may have something a lawyer and some govt agencies would be happy to deal with...
but in reality, I wouldn't worry.

Well I won't actually be discharged when it hits... I calculated my days wrong, the disbursement hits the Friday before my 60th day (a Monday.) But I haven't received any letters or anything, and my bank account looks normal online.... anyway, thank you Genenco, I'm less apprehensive about it now
