    Thank you everyone

I just wanted to say thanks to Staci for helping me out on that issue. I apreciae all your help. just wanted to say thanks to everyone. Like the moderator said I don't have the same IP address as the other person you thought I was, and thats because it was not me. Thanks again staci for your help I apreciate it. My attorney said I could dismiss my case, and pay the creditor back. If I pay them all back right away before any lawsuit is filled by them I will only pay them what I owe. He also said I can contact the credit beurua and get them to take it off my credit report! So I am happy

    Thanks again for everyones help.

      FYI-

You can TRY to get a bk filing off your credit report, but the general rule is that once it is filed it stays for 10 years. Dismissal or discharge doesn't change that.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

I agree with Staci as I asked the VERY SAME QUESTION to one of my lawyers and his reply was:

"Once you file and it's entered into the Credit Reporting databank, NOTHING will EVER remove it but time"

Either the lawyer is a MAJOR liar...Or.......

Someone wanting you to hire them will tell you what you want to hear..

And sometimes you'll hear one thing and interpret it how you want to.

ok its gone far enough imo. no attorney is going to tell you that it can be removed. find me one phone number that the attorney on the other end will tell me that.

do you realize that you cant even change a document once entered into the pacer system, let alone a formal filing with a CA.

filing is filing. dismissal is dismissal. discharge is discharge.

time to close this thread too. this thread has a better chance of getting wiped clean then a bk filing lol. we could only pray.

It's easy to just drive by places with wireless web access just so you can spend all your time on a bankruptcy forum.

BTW Bkfiler, if you don't mind me asking why do you owe $39 dollars? Haven't you learned anything or are you preparing for the next time?

LML, I am only going to say this once and no more...

Sorry, but there is no way I believe your "Story" I Am a compulsive gambler (Yes I even attend GA, but keep slipping) and have met many a "Vitrolic Anti-gambler" and there's not a chance of this side of hell, they'd do as you have done.

In fact, at my job, there's 2 who received a "Scratch off" from their supervisor and ripped them in half and launched into a tirade of anti-gambling pitfalls and dangers....

If you continue to say (i never gamble and I hate it with a passion) then you are one of the biggest hypocrites I have ever seen...Or a major liar...Or just a troll...Frankly, I believe the last most of all..And as so..You are now in my "Ignore box"

                        Begone! Away with you!

Just because your friends who are anti gambler are ripping them up doesnt mean they where desperate like me. If you don't believe me then fine just help answer my questions like staci, and if you don't want to help me, then don't post on this forum. just ignore it

Thanks again everyone for there help.

                            LML,

I have to ask: If this wonderful thing has happened to you (the lottery), then why are you concerned about your credit report? I don't want to sound silly, but you would never have to worry about getting credit again. You'll have the cash to live the life of luxury.

Either way, take charge and do what you feel is in YOUR best interests. If you want the opportunity to clean "it" up, then do it. There is nothing stopping you, right? GO FOR IT!!!!! ALthough, my opinion is you may be stuck with the BK on your CR. Wishing the best to you..........
