Need Some Advice - Military, Especially, Would Be Appreciated Greatly

There reaslly is a "Pied Piper" syndrome out there.
How do you feel about prior military "impersonating" a Navy Seal, especially if the person is a law enforcement officer??? (his name made the Wall of Shame)
To some it may be petty, but to me it makes me extremely sick and angry. There isn't enough time in the day for me to explain what is going on except to say this cat is the Pied Piper incarnate. HE makes him self out to be a big DOG, distinguished military career, ranking police officer, boy scout leader, athletic director ........
Obviously I don't like him. Water on the bridge and I left it there until now. This "bonus" chapter in the book unfolds and supposedly he isn't what he says he is. Of course, I guess he has justifications etc.
Why do people do that. Especially now. Our sons, fathers, brothers, wifes, sisters, daughters, etc., are fighting our wo protect our country and I read a letter to the editor, "So if I have put myself into the position of knowingly engaging a phony SEAL as the senior law enforcement official in my town, well so be it." What is wrong with people. Where have our morals gone. It is one thing to tell our children about the Easter Bunny, but what about those men that have busted a** to go thru the training to be a Seal and made it. Or those that at least tried. I guess it is OK to say that I was Miss America.
I had to get some of this off my chest, it has been festering for over 3 years now and the saga gets weireder and weireder all the time.
I know I asked for advice and feeback. I am tired of this eating my lunch but the media and local citizens won't leave it alone.

It is such a long story..
I was interim chief of police at a town where I had worked auxillary, because they fired the then chief. I didn't, I repeat didn't want the chief's position. When they hired a replacement, I stuck around being little miss helpful. I didn't like him from day one, baaaad vibes. He is sooo egotistical. I helped him train new officers, tried to stay out of the line of fire until I found out too many questionable things going on and decided to leave for a better place to work closer to where I live etc.... Well, he kept right on. Finally he was fired, of course personnel issues are hush hush. Lots of news coverage, people protesting his firing..... Well, municipal elections were this year and now the town has a new major and 2 new commissioners. It is obvious they want this person back. When they hired a new chief, citizens asked the new chief why he didn't to such and such like the old one did.... He proved my point about the qustionable practices.
News reports came out that he stated on application (heck he told me the same thing) That he was a Navy Seal in Vietnam. Supposedly the Navy, VeriSeal, etc. say "no, he ain't a SEAl. He accused the Navy of lying. YADA. YADA. YADA. A local SEAL confronts him and he says I was in class 22(I think). According to a news report he stated in some concerned towns meeting that he was a member of class 71. Since this started the old board hired a new chief, well the new board fired the old chief, No reason given.Said he hadn't done anything wrong. Go figure. New board wants old chief back at any cost.
My concern is a moral issue. I don't wish him any harm but of you try to pull off using someone elses name & personal info is a felony in most areas. But the people don't seem to care. What is wrong with this picture???

i guess when you are dealing with people that dont care much about themselves then they dont care about what others do.

being military is a great thing. lots of people wish they were a proud hero. think of it that way

I can't. It is not so much about the military aspect as it is that he is a law enforcement officer and has so blatantly lied, over and over. He has threatened to sue the Navy because they made a mistake in his records.
HE has cost a man his job the person that replaced him) It is almost like the Hatfields and McCoys.

On that note, I am so tired that I am silly.
