    credit scores

I did the true credit like you guys said and my scores are TU 642, exper 636 and Equifax 661. Not bad one day after discharge but now I have some cleaning up to. A lot of these accounts are showing as derogotory and I don't believe that is correct. Does anyone have any suggestions and when should I start trying to correct these errors? Thanks!

    nice scores!

depends on how you are going to correct the. if you are going to try to claim them as not yours then start right away. if not then wait 30 days for everyone to report how they are going to and then get them all listed as IIB.

there are whole boards and threads on this topic. try creditboard . com to start with.

TC fakos can be off from FICO's by 100 points or more...
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

actually I was never late with a payment before I filed and they are reporting as late. I think I can challenge that. Otherwise I am confused about the statement as derogotory? Also it says a lease on a vehicle was included in BK and that is not true. I still have that vehicle and have paid as agreed???

If you did not reaffirm the lease, then it is included in bankruptcy. (All debts are included automatically.) Having a balance in BK is enough to make the accounts derogatory, even if history was good before that. After all, BK accounts aren't paid in full.

On to the good news-as time passes, those things will be less important. The past 2 years has a significant bearing on credit scores, but gradually, they lose importance.

Damn clb123 with credit scores like that it sounds like you missed out on alot of fun leading up to bk. Nothing is as fun as having at least one collections call every day trying to squeeze every last penny out of you. You really missed out on a good time.
