Need To File Your 2005 Taxes: Federal Can Be Free

state will cost you a little bit. read details carefully.

ive used the turbo tax for state before and it worked fine. think it stores it online for so many months then gets rid of it. so just print your copy and save it if you do Turbo Tax.

others might be different. many to chose from.

Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

I used www.taxact.com for free Federal, filed yesterday, if you live in IL you can file state free on their website.

My return will be direct deposited around Feb 3rd--that's right, a week and a half!!!

I'm still waiting on W2's, for Dh's current employer, and my former & current employers... Have the final check stubs, but I'll have a 1099 w/ a small amount on it-not sure how much-and so have to wait...
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

It is, It's also nuts to think how much money we have in the bank right now. Dh started a new job so we got a sign-on bonus, and now the tax return. We NEVER thought we could have this much in the bank within the next 10 years let alone today.

We're being smart too, I am getting a low-limit cc and dh will get one as well. We are planning on buying another house next summer. The own we currently own will close on Friday (we sold because we moved, not because of bk)

I'm just glad I have the "closed" thing, I would be freaking out at the thought of having to hand over this return, it's the largest I've ever seen for myself.

That's great, I'm glad to hear that things are "turning around" in your financial life.... IT'S A GOOD THING!!

Makes everyday living a whole lot more bearable sometimes.

Rebuild your credit score, keep cc balances very low, pay off each month, and you do fine in the future with anything that you strive to do....

Put back some vacation money, treat yourself, and start a little "nest egg" for the future or emergencies.....

Smile, enjoy life more, - Yes, there is life after bankruptcy...
