    I go to court TOMORROW...

    For a re-affirmation hearing.

Anyone know what I should expect?

    I am nervous as hell....

Please remember that I filed pro se, so I am going it alone.

Good luck, TinRoof!! I am rooting for you. Hopefully it will just be about as anti-climactic as most creditors' meetings are. You are very brave to go it alone with no lawyer. My hat's off to you. Wish I could tell you what to expect, but I didn't reffirm on anything.

I already had the creditor's meeting a month ago.

      This is just for re-affirmation.

There's really nothing to worry about, just be prepared to answer the questions and sign some docs.

        Good Luck!

I was so worried about NOTHING.... that was easy.

I had the nicest lawyer in the world help me out. He was there after a court case, and he pulled me aside and said he wanted to help me as much as he could because he felt for me. He gave me a run through of the questions, what my answers should be, and sat right behind me while I went through everything. He then gave me his card, and said should I hae any more questions, to not hesitate to contact him.

What was your situation, and what questions did they ask you?

I am about to meet with a lawyer on Monday to discuss my situation and begin the process and I am an absolute mess!

I haven't charged anything on my cards for 6 months now and feel this is the right time to file. Before this, I charge about 8000 in home improvements in order to sell my house and later realized I shouldn't sell it.

            Any thoughts on this?

The judge asked if I was who I said I was.
              I said yes.
She then asked if what I wanted to re-affirm and through whom was correct.
              I said yes.
She then told me that I had 60 days with which to re-neg, and that was basically it.
Short sweet and to the point.

My situation stemmed from my ex-husband wracking up cards in my name, my own cards, and everything else just got to be too much. There was no way I could pay all that. After this, I am suing him for credit card fraud. The jerk.
