The money is just insane in some of those countries. I had a customer from the United Arab Emirates offer to pay $6,000 on a $3,000 order just to get it two weeks earlier. (I work in sales and marketing for a steel fabrication plant.) Then a week later he offered to send a check for another grand directly to me if I could send his order a couple of days earlier than he had already paid for. I turned it down of course as it was impossible to send his order any sooner. The thing had to be built first.

$6000 and under doesn't seem like a lot of money in perspective but this guy was so calm about it and didn't have a care in the world that he was paying double for something. It was like money was nothing. Most customers complain about a $50 price increase on $20,000 orders. Crazy.
