Well I have started my new journey after bk7. I have been cleaning up my credit from all of the wrong information from my bk. I have Transunioin completed and still working on Equifax and Experian. I started recieving cc offers, even before my discharge, trashing them of course. I have been reading how you alll have rebuilt your credit and it seems that having a cc definately helps improve scores. I reieved several offers from Capital One among others. I finally got one with a $19 annualk fee and 14.9% interest, so what the heck I'll try it. My combined score as of now is a 650, which ain't too shabby. I recieved my card and it has a $3000 limit! These guys have lost their mind. They don't have too worry about me though, it's cash and carry for this old boy. I reduced my credit to $1000 and set up a couple of recurring monthly payments with it. This way I can get credit for paying cell phone, utilities, etc. by paying them off on the card each month. I can't tell you how much better my life is since bk. I know there is some bad baggage that goes along, but for the most part, it has truly given me a chance to learn from my mistakes and get a fresh start....................thanks for all your posts they have helped me and encouraged me through some tough times.
