    Verizon found me?

I opened my mail last night only to find a bill for $300 from Verizon wireless...this is from an old account. Would they not know or have been informed that I've just been discharged from bankruptcy? What do I do with this bill? Do I need to check & see if it was included with my bk? I believe it is in my experian report...

Yep. Check your BK paperwork first. Know for sure whether or not it was included in your BK before you do anything.

Somebody else here said they didn't include a debt in their BK and got contacted, by phone, about the debt after discharge. When they mentioned BK, the rep wanted the case #. Potentially, the Creditor is just gonna file it away as discharged. Even if you forgot to include Verizon, they may do the same thing. Think it's their error and file it away as discharged in the BK.

We can hope??!! Fingers crossed for you!!

Sorry, Amis. I didn't follow that it shows as included in your BK with the Credit Reporting agencies.

        Duh!! Blonde moment there!!

I think sometimes we have a 6th sense about things. Like a little inner voice speaking to us. We tend to ignore it because it seems so unlikely, or there's too much else going on at the time, or whatever. And then it happens.
