Warning-this is a solicitation of sorts...
My son (7 years old, 2nd grade) is doing a Math A Thon for school, to raise money for St. Jude's. He'll get a book of ~250 problems, and is seeking pledges. Pledges can be any amount, such as $.01-.10 per problem or justa set dollar amount. (So if he completed all ~250 problems, and you pledged $.02, it would be a $5 donation to St. Jude's.)
If anyone is interested, please PM me. He'll get the book in the next week or so, and have 7 days to complete the problems. For anyone who pledges, I'll keep you posted on when he gets his book & when/how many he completes. There is a website set up (www.mathathon.org) and donations can be made there by debit card, so no one would have to provide me with personal info, or send a check, etc.
He is excited-he likes math and its a chance to help someone. If anyone finds this out of line, I apologize. Feel free to ignore...
