    Circumstances ?

What would happen if you were in the middle of your BK and you dies for whatever reason ? Do not take this message the wrong way, a question from a friend of mine that is quite ill and needs to possibly file.

If someone is ill to the point of having a limited life expectancy, I'd say to not worry about bills. Enjoy what time was remaining w/ family & friends.

If someone dies, their bills need to be paid out of the estate. If they don't have anything to warrant an estate, that is it. (If they are married & in a community property state, different story! Spouse is responsible.)

Insurance, by the way, is not part of the estate. If you have life insurance the proceeds belong to the beneficiary if/when you pass away. That does NOT have to be used to pay debts.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
