Keeping two cars?

What;s the deal with keeping more than one car? I have a 1999 Chevy and according to KBB the trade in value would be about 3000, I also have a 92 Chevy, KBB value at 470. I need to keep both of these. The car has 2 payments left and will not be included in BK. We are in Connecticut. Are they going to make an issue of this?

Anybody else in Connecticut?

I really freak myself out as I get more information regarding all this! I have a meeting tomorrow with Atty and have a slew of ?'s for him!! I just want to get this started so it can be over with sooner than later!

It has to do with the wording of the Statute in your State.

It looks like the vehicle exemption in CT is for a vehicle up to $1500 in value. If you were filing joint with a spouse, that would double to $3000.

We'll have to file under Missouri Statutes which allow for any vehicle in the aggregate of $3000. Jointly, that would be $6000 limit for married filers. And that could be any number of vehicles.
