Got another question for you all

Hello again everyone; Quick question: Does anyone know where I can find information concerning the laws that govern collections? Particularly what the Student Loan Servicing Center or the Department of Education are or are not allowed to do regarding my case? I thought it might be a good idea to be forewarned(so to speak) in case they try to "pull the wool over our eyes". I'd like to do some research so I'd know for myself if they cross the line or try a scare tactic. Again thanks in advance for all of your advice!!!

What exactly is your concern. They can collect the debt like anyone else and the debt is "non"-dischargable in BK.

Sorry, didn't mean to bother anyone

This bk was 10 years ago and we hadn't heard from the student loan servicing center since, now they are trying to charge us 20,000 dollars for a debt that was discharged. Since they have surfaced again and the slsc is doing an "investigation", they have tagged our tax return for this year and stated the other day that even if the investigation goes in our favor they are still going to keep our money. I just didn't think that was right,is all.
