Can you add creditor AFTER Dishcharge?

Can we add a creditor after the dishcharge has been completed. The case is not closed and we still have to meet with the Judge to see about reaffirming our mortgage.

I really don't think so, but...............

Discharge is a formality of time. Closed is the real thing. When the Court is all done with you and your business.

You can try. Talk to your attny about it. See if you can ammend. But if you get your wish, you may wind up with an additional 90 days tacked on for notification and objection periods.

Maybe more knowledgeable folk will chime in and answer for ya.

Not that I am the smartest person in the world when in comes to this, but I have been told. Even if you forget to add a creditor, meaning that you actually forgot to add it, and that you didn't not add it because you did not want them to find out, that it can still be discharged in most districts,

What I am basicly trying to say is that if you did not add a creditor, that debt in some cases is still discharged. As long as it doesnt meet certain guide lines. But after a case is discharged I don't think you can go back to your bk petition and add anything. Just send your creditor that you forgot to add the bankruptcy discharge papers you get in the mail.

I am not a 100% sure on what I said, but I think I am right.

        It depends on your district.
