    Min, finally settled on a vehicle

    Well Min, nothing fancy. After all the talk I'm settling on a Dodge Ram work truck. Four doors, six cylinders, five on the floor, rubber floors. Very practical, 2003, 9000 miles, still has a long way to go on the extended warranty. A repo. The fella' bought it, drove it a couple of months, never paid a dime, went to Raifford Penentiary while the Truck stayed in a relatives garage (mothers, I was told).
    Finally got found and brought back to the credit union. Absolutely pristine condition. layers of dust, not a scratch, still has the REAL new smell, seats and floors perfect, spare never used, not even so much as a smudge on the bed which has no liner. We yanked the mileage from the computer and everything conditionwise (dry rot on the tire wise) adds up, very odd find but VERY practical for Miami driving! Won't worry over dings!

    Kewl! Rob!

    I'm gonna have to start shopping for deals like that one!!

    Did you see an ad for it? Was it sitting out in the lot of the credit union with a "For Sale" sign? Or is there a monthly auction you heard about or something??

    Many Congrats on a great find at a spectacular deal of a price!!

          Excellent choice of drivetrain for best fuel economy. Smallest displacement engine + manual tranny. Saves gas and you'll still scoot around acceleration wise.

            Robivi3, my man,

            [SIZE="6"]YOU DONE GREAT!!!!!

            [SIZE="2"]Sounds like a good vehicle and and great deal at the same time.

            I have bought 2 new vehicles in my lifetime.... one everybody HIT it....... (mustrage convertible) the other a gm sports car (a lemon).......sent it back.

            For the last 25 years I have bought all vehicles a year or two old, low mileage, excellent condition, good buys....

            Can't go wrong on the ones a year or so old.... the kinks are out and the price is right. Repo's are an excellent buy at auction or thru the bank or credit union.

            Still have an 88 Plymouth Voyager mini-van and and 87 Chrysler LaBaron that runs like the wind, very few repairs ever, just maintenance mostly.

            Am also hunting me a pickup these days, I love pickups and always have... I'll find one that strikes my fancy one of these days at the right price....

            Post a pic of that truck you got......

              Great deal, sounds like a nice truck. We bought a car once a few years ago from the government auction, it was a forest service car. We got the best deal on it, only 1200 bucks and it was only 3 years old. The downside was it was the lovely forest service green, but we lived on a dirt road so we were glad to have something that we didnt worry about every ding and scratch. We got so many years and miles out of it and it was a station wagon so it was a great family car. We got our money out of that baby 1000 times over!
