    I'm getting a little sensitive...

My husband and I just walked out of the tax man's office. We sat for 45 minutes (we had an appointment) waiting. The office gal had taken out information when we came in, then sullenly asked us if we had tallied any of these receipts up, and when we said no, she stalked off. It says right on my appointment slip that they're going to charge us for no less than 3 hours of her time, so we just figured, get on it, girl. After we sat and sat, my husband got annoyed and we just asked for our stuff back because we were leaving. Then the wife of tax man came up front and asked what was going on, and I told her we'd been sitting for 45 mins., nobody saying anything to us about anything, and we didn't appreciate it. She got irrate, and I just told her that I didn't think that this was going to work out. She said well we scheduled you for 1.5 hours, you've wasted my time. Hey, 45 minutes of that we sat and waited. Can't wait for them to send us a bill, I'll put it in the unsecured creditors pile...

We hopped in the car, drove around the block, and strolled into another place. We handed over our stuff and made an appointment. These folks actually acted like they want our business.

I was kinda proud of us!

Way to go you guys...what is wrong with this picture...you sit and wait and wait so they can provide a service they will be paid to do? I would not have put up with that either. There are way too many other tax professionals out there...you would think they would be kissing up to get business...and on top of that THEY were rude..duh...

I know this is their busy season, and they are probably stressed right now, and it's only gonna get worse for them, but,...............

Excuse me??!! They are in the business of CUSTOMER SERVICE!! HELLO!!! DUH!!

Some people just don't get it!!

I know how you feel about the bill too. Hubby says, "Just tell 'em to get in line behind everyone else."

If I had the energy to, when that bill came, I'd dispute it. That's if I had the energy. The way things are going lately on this roller coaster of a life we're living, we never know from one hour to the next how life is gonna be.

I'm sorry, I don't know your situation, please don't take this as an insult or anything. Why do you need someone to do your taxes?

If you have a business, I can understand it. If not, have you considered using something like Turbo-Tax? I've been using it for 5 years now and it keeps getting easier every year. I did my taxes (married filing jointly) this year in 30 minutes. Really, 30 minutes! The program will import last years data into this years return (address, SSN's, children's info, W-2 info, etc) and then you enter new info (wages, taxes paid) and review and done.
