Anybody have experience with a deed in lieu, how bad was it????

How bad does this affect your credit? I was told it is just a "little bit " better than foreclosure. This doesn't make sense to me.
Anybody out there do it and still keep all their other credit intact. I am keeping up with everthing else I have, I just couldn't manage a vacant house in las vegas as well as my mortgage on my home.....
Any replies would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Have you ever thought about doing a short sale with your bank. I personally negotiate with banks and they give me huge discounts, so your house sell really quick and get it off their books. That would save your credit instead of giving the deed back to the bank. They always like to get cashed out. If I can help you I will do everything I can.
