Help!!!!!!I am going to my consult tomorrow morning. I have everything that I was told to bring. I am married but filing alone. I own no car, no mortgage, have a son, 50.00 in the savings account, which isn't actually mine...my husbands and I am an authorized user so I could cash my IC (independent contractor) checks. i make about 800.00 or less a month, with working as an IC. So basically I don't have jack. I know I owe about 44k, most from a house that was forclosed after my husband and I got divorced and he decided he didn't want it anymore. Now when we got divorced I signed a Quilt Decree for the house, but its still on my credit report, so If I do a Chapter 7 will he be responsible for that? Is this going to be ok for me to do this? Would I be good to file 7 or just act like the debt isn't there. Also it depends on the state you live in with 2 years depending on where you file correct. Well my problem is I spent a year in 2004 I was in OH in 2005 WV, now we moved back to OH, so where would I file? I hope I didn't confuse anyone. I hope someone can help me, PLEASE.

Umm, I dunno. I guess so reassurance... Ok but in all cases, will my x be responsible for the forclosed home amt? I don't want to do that but I gotta do what is best for me. I guess I read somewhere that where you file depends on the last 2 years, correct? or where you live at now?Filed: 4/28/06

Depends, if your mortgage company took him off the loan, then no, he isn't responsible. If the husband is still on the loan, he will be responsible.Originally posted by mystiquemiaUmm, I dunno. Ok thanks, he won't file becasue he makes too much. I just want to make sure that I have all my bases covered. I was the one in the divorce that signed the Quilt Claim stating that I am giving over the house to him and he is repsonsible for it. But needless to say it was forclosed and sold by a real estate agent. Well Im off to my meeting, wish me luck!Filed: 4/28/06
