I was reading another post and they where talking about judgments. I have filed Ch 7 in Cailfornia and at the time of the filing i did not know of any judgements. But on my credit report Citi Bank has a notation stating "Collections" and this notioce is in the judgement part of my credit report. Could Citi bank have a judgement with out me getting notice of a court date and going to court?

Judgement without a court date?

It depends. Citi-Bank is only under a duty to attempt to serve you at your last known address, then they petition the court for service by publication. So, its possible, that if you have moved around a lot or did not update your address with a creditor to whom you still owed money, there could be a judgment out there against you that you didn't get notice of.

What would be the time line of this petioning the court etc? 60 90 days +or-
I had forwarding on my old address. Moved in August and stopped paying all cards filed ch 7 in Jan, 05. Citi bank sent me to collections in December. I have never received any paper work on any judgment just collections, good news is i included all accounts including the collections in the Bk.
Could there be a judgment that for some reason would not be forwarded to the new address? And if there is could i not fight it on "no service" ? if for some reason it is not discharged.

I think your fine. I doubt citi-bank sued you. Collection agencies work solely on contingency so they are not quick to part with filing fees to sue you. As far as service by publication, it varies from state to state, it can be 3 weeks to 3 months.
Judgments will usually appear on the "Public Records" section of your credit report. If your account is merely listed as a collection, you probably haven't been sued.
