    Another Chex Systems Thread....

Just wanted to share this. I found out I was in Chex Systems, and have been diligently trying to resolve this matter post bankruptcy. Well, I just got off the phone with someone at Chex Systems. Turns out that Chex Systems has made some changes. It appears that if your situation was included in your bankruptcy, then the file CAN be removed COMPLETELY. What I was told is that my file was included in my BK, and that since it fell within whatever guidelines, that my Chex Systems file would be DELETED. The lady told me that it normally happens once they receive the bankruptcy information. She said I should be removed in a couple of days, and that I should receive a letter stating this in the mail. Now, this is all after I called the bank and requested that I be removed post bk. The bank insured me that they would be sending a form to Chex Systems. Well, they did not. Anyway, it's being taken care of now!!!

        For Those Still In Chex

If you are having trouble getting a checking account, if you dont mind doing most of your banking online0 USAA is the best! I even prefer them over my local credit union! And, I make overnight deposits for free at the UPS Store. I cant rave enough about this bank. Just call them, and tell them you need a member number to open a checking account. Its only 25 bucks to start.

I had one bank account (Checking) that was over drafted and the bank sent me a letter that they will be reporting this to the CHEX systems. This account was included in the Chapter 7 that has been discharged.

How do I find out if there is file on me at CHEX systems and what number do I call?

            Thanks a bunch!

If you go to www.consumerdebit.com (Chex Systems Website), you can order a consumer report. It will give you options of ordering the report online, by fax, or email. If you have been declined from opening an account in the last 60 days, you can order the report right online, and it will be mailed to you. If you have not been declined in opening an account, you can still say yes and proceed to ordering the free consumer report. Hope this helps!!! Good Luck!!!!!!
