    Jane's Trustee just called..............

Said the receipe is asset of the estate, wants her to post it right here, for us to find out if it has value. I would be happy to hold the receipe in safe keeping till this gets all worked out.

      Here it is! Bon appetit!!

Deep Fried Twinkies with Berry Sauce

      6 Twinkies
      Popsicle Sticks
      4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sweet milk (that's regular milk in Southern talk )
      2 T. white vinegar
      1 T. oil
      1 t. baking powder
      1/2 t. salt

Heat 4 c. oil to 375 degrees. Push popsicle sticks in Twinkies. Mix together liquids and blend in with dry ingredients. Fry 3-4 minutes. Twinkies wil float. Drain on paper towels. Cover with berry sauce and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

      Berry Sauce

1 10 oz. jar seedless raspberry preserves
      1 c. frozen strawberries

Bring to boil in medium saucepan, stirring constantly.

I also have another exotic Southern recipe featuring Moonpies

Oops! Forgot to mention in the recipe that after you mix liquid and dry ingredients, you roll the Twinkies in the batter and then fry them.

But y'all probably knew that already!

Glad y'all enjoyed them! Try these next time:

            Moonpie a la Mode

Chocolate moonpie, softened slightly in microwave oven
Large scoop of vanilla ice cream
Chocolate syrup (I like Sanders from Detroit, Michigan)
            Whipped cream
            Fresh mint and maraschino cherry

After heating moonpies, place scoop of ice cream on top, drizzle with chocolate syrup, and top with whipped cream, a sprig of fresh mint, and a maraschino cherry.
