Home is set to be sold at auction on the tenth. I don't have an attorney, can't afford one. I have all of the forms to fill out, but want to know if I fill them out and get them filed prior to the 10th on my own, can I get an attorney later after I've had more time to find one?

That depends on the attorney. Assuming you can even find one that would be willing to jump into an already filed Chapter 13, I wouldn't be surprised if you would have to pay MORE for an attorney to jump into an already existing Chapter 13.

Honestly, if your doing a chapter 13, you need an attorney. Even most attorney's don't know all the ins-and-outs of a Chapter 13, so its rare that a layperson can successfully shuttle a Chapter 13 through the system.
