How was your experience with your trustee?

1) Good--they showed at least of bit of compassion, tried to treat you fairly, understood that this was a difficult process you were going through

2) Bad--no compassion, made you feel like a fraud or a criminal, tried to make you feel guilty

3) Indifferent--just doing their job and following the rules

My trustee was good...the BK trustee seemed very compassionate and the U.S. Trustee whom we have to face one on one was professional but was very understanding about our situation and in fact told us as much...we were truly blessed.

I would not try to classify under the pretext that the trustee was compassionate or really even cared of my dilemmna, although he made it easy and discharged the case and closed it within 14 days, I am not sure where compassion came in, he was nice at the 341, but also I think he saw he could not make any $$ in this case, and thats where its at.

Mine was "good". He technically could've taken our house (the equity was several thousand dollars over the exemption amount), but he didn't.

Sounds like he was just doing his job.

My trustee is just doing his job. Seems to show no compassion, wants more money everytime I turn around. I wouldn't call him bad, wouldn't call him good, wouldn't call him nice, so I just voted indifferent.

Mine was good. I had a couple of issues that my lawyer told me he'd likely question and ask for documenation. That's exactly what he did. I complied and he issued the ole no asset letter 11 days after received the information.

Our Tustee was fine. He asked, we answered and that was it. Although considering the hundreds of people there, I wasn't surprised how fast they were getting people in and out. LOL.....Drive Thru 341 Meeting.....LOL!

Great, but just like a snake, you never turn your back to him or he will bit you in the ass.

Ours was indifferent. Supposedly our attorney has a good relationship with the trustees. I'm not really sure what to believe anymore.

my wish would be that each of you would have the luck to be assigned the trustee that I had. he was friendly, used the email thing to communicate very well with me, and came across as just a normal/nice person, which was probably the best thing since his actions and personality tended to ease the difficulty of the situation.

I voted good but if I'm looking at the 341 (my only contact with him) I'd vote indifferent.

he seemed pretty indifferent at the 341 and I haven't spoken to him since. He gave everyone an extension to get our taxes to him, which was discouraging, but his assistant has been really friendly and answered any questions I had. Sounds like she's doing most of the straightfoward cases like mine.

I was wondering why there was only 1 Ch 13 trustee for most of Colorado and my lawyer said that they have a huge staff working under them. I wonder if it is the same for Ch 7 trustees.
