Odd Question, Don't know what to do

My 341 is on 6/21. Well the company that I worked for is closing and our last day of work is this Friday. Well I don't have a home phone and only use my company cell phone. My company is letting us have the accounts transferred into our names, if we like. I don't want to do this since my cell # is an out of state #. I wanted to get a new carrier, are there any places that are ok with BK7 and won't have a large deposit. I had a trac phone but it gets expensive to use as a reg phone. TIA!

Tracfones are expensive on airtime. I use T-Mobile pre-paid. The phone is about 35$ at wal-mart with $15 of starter airtime. Then if you buy $100 phone cards, you get 1,000 minutes. Thats 10 cents a minute, the best of any pre-paid carrier. You also get free web browsing. Text mssgs are 5 cents each. Each $100 card lasts me several months. And of course, whenever you have to make a local call, use a free land-line if available.

        FOMO,

Thanks for the tip on t-mobile. I've been considering giving up my carrier and that looks like a great deal.

Yeah, I won't sign a contract just to have a phone. Cell phone contracts were included in my chap 7 filing. 3 cancelled contracts that they wanted 200$ each for. Yeah I don't think so.

I'm just having trouble finding one that isn't a high amount and then a rebate applied. I'll have to check in store those.

Sprint is pretty good about letting people sign with them as long as you don't have a bad account in the past with them, (contract involved though), but you get a kick butt phone for free and the free mins start at 7pm plus weekends. The pay as you go phone with the 10 cent per minute rate though is almost just as good as long as you don't talk a lot.

Alot of companies have great deals if you sign up on line. I have never paid for a phone, only the service. I always sign up on line and get the free online specials. Cingular is my carrier now and even when I can upgrade I will do it online and upgrade to a better free phone. They don't tell you this in the stores of course.

T-Mobile gave us a cell plan when I apllied one month after discharge and I didn't have to put down a deposit. Their plans are affordable and the service is great (not one dropped call yet).

                      odd Question

I applied for nextel/Sprint. They have a program, yea I have to pay 100.00 deposit, but they report to all 3 credit reporting agencies. I was able to get a plan with 1000 min for 69.00 and free nights and weekends after 7pm, and a free phone. The account has a spending limit of 150.00 so once it hits that amt, if you didn't pay, you will get a message on the phone and it will be suspended, till brought down under the amount. I think that Im going to go with this plan since my hubby and I had nextel before and we never had any problems and I loved the nationwide service and my family has nextel so the Direct Connect works for me. I will be getting this after my 341 next week.
