The 341's are usually a snap. The Trustee will ask you general questions like, your name, address, SS#, accuracy of your creditors....things like that. Don't sweat it too much. It's a simple process. If you have an attorney representing you, most likely, he or she will prep you on the questions the Trustee may ask.

Just remember to be honest and truthful.

Just don't do like Mr.Bonehead Jeep did, the trustee was asking about debts we were reaffirming. The trustee only asked dh the questions for both of us. (Verry condesending considering I did everything but sign dh name)

Trustee:What do you plan on doing with the van?
DH: Well sir, it's my wifes, she has to have a vehicle
Me: (I interupt dh's sob story)We're reaffirming the debt
Trustee: (looks at me) Thanks you

It was quick easy and painless. We were told we had cute kids by the trustee.

He'll verify information you gave in your petition and possibly ask to see paperwork. I had to show the most current two pay stubs, tax return, and checking account statement as well as the title to my car.

          341 today

I talked to my lawyer and looked on my papers, it doesn't mention anything about pay stubs. I have the ones from before but since Im no longer working, I guess that would be it. Any ideas on what to wear?

Don't wear anything fancy. Sort of business casual. If you filed with an attorney they will have the paystubs so that is why you probably weren't asked to bring them.

Don't sweat the 341. Just keep answers short and to the point. Basically they just verify what you have already sent in.

Now sit back, relax, prop your feet up - CAUSE you have 60 days to wait to see if any of the creditors object............. this is one of nerve wrecking things - WAITING........

But normally no one does, so you should be oaky.....

Chat with us, ask questions, and wait out your 60 days..... a new beginning awaits you.............

Glad to hear it went well, now prop up the feet. Grab a cold one, and wait for 60 days. When it's all over, a great weight will be lifted from your shoulders.
