Can my business continue after filing?

I recenty filed for chapter 7 and had to list my business which has yet to earn any revenue or income under Formerly Doing Business As. Does this mean that I have to close my business and start all over again? Thanks in advance for any help.

Depends on what kind of assets you have. You need to talk to some attorneys.

I currently have no assets related to the business. Its a home base business that I started a year ago but never had the time to really work on it hence the no income or revenue. The only thing I have in regards to the business is a license and a sellers permit.

Check with an attorney at a free consult to make sure...

...but if there are no assets that can be sold by or turned over to the the trustee, there is no need to "close" the business. Any business you do between now and end of BK process would be a potential income increase for you, so you may need to keep the business dormant, or just lay the groundwork by making contacts, etc, before your discharge/closing, and then be ready to get up and running.
