Abandonment of property vs waiting for discharge
A question about selling a house in bk:
The Ch7 discharge should be around Sept 1. If someone wants to buy the house before that date, is it better to get an order of abandonment in August, or wait to sell the house until after discharge? About $5000 of $100000 has been paid into the house, and we would sell for around $110000.
I'm confused - the trustee makes it sound like it's a better deal to do what the buyer wants, and abandon the house before discharge if it can be sold early. Not sure if we should trust the trustee!
