    My 341 meeting today!

    Just wanting to share and say Thank You' to the members that help me out with my BK here on the forum!!!!
    When I first started my BK journey I came to this site religiously trying to learn everything I could about the process!!! I think I only posted once on the board didn't post anymore for fear of the big one ("lighting" I think) coming down on me!!

    Finally, today was my 341 meeting (I filed chapter 7) it was a breeze (I was a little worried I never been to court before other than being called for jury duty).....it wasn't bad at all.

    My trustee was a really nice gentleman only the 3 of us was in the courtroom. I kind of figure more would be there, but they said BK was down in our area!!
    My lawyer (who is also a trustee) said it should start back up later due to higher CC rates etc.... I guess that is good for them but bad for us that has to file!!

    My 341 meeting was to be held June 21st had to be rescheduled cause trustee couldn't make it.
    Meeting reschedule to July 19th 2006
    Now comes the waiting!!!!

      Congrats. Must have been frustrating for the 341 to be put off a month (and thus the whole process) due to the trustee.

        Yeah, it was frustrating hated the waiting!! I was wanting the meeting done and over with.
        Thank goodness it's behind me now!!

          If I am correct you only have a little over month to wait. The 60 day objection periiod is from the date first set for the meeting of the creditors (341) Someone else may double check me on that.

            Yep, alh your right!!! My lawyer informed me that I needed to get my Bankruptcy class taken ASAP since the meeting was originally set for last month before I'm discharge or else we will have some problems.

            I'm working on it seems to take those people forever to get a date set to take the class!!
