What are your thoughts. I was readsing another thread in another section and wondered aer you for or against them getting right.

I am bias I don't want them over populating our states BUT THEN who's going to do the jobs no one else wants to do (picking food for farmers, cleaning up road kill, bussing tables for less than minimum wage.. etc.)

I am all for LEGAL immigration.

The illegal ones are criminals, they are breaking the law, and they need to be shipped back to wherever it is they came from IMMEDIATELY.

And btw- all that crap about them "doing jobs that no one wants." Is bogus.

Send the welfare recipients who are perpetually screwing the system out to do these jobs since they won't hold down regular ones. I am all for help, but there are those who seriously abuse the system, and they should be made to do that work. Then it would take care of two problems at once!

I am really opinionated on this subject. We have had a hospital shut down in my area, and a lot of trouble caused by illegal immigrants, and it really ticks me off.

OOOO you are so right about sending welfare receipents to do those jobs why I didnt think of that one before see it's points like yours that make me feel that they shouldn't be here at all. I am going to bring that up in my next class discussion.

I agree with you guys!!! I don't have a problem with LEGAL immigrants! One of my students got royally screwed over last semester trying to do the right thing. She is a legal immigrant, works, and is planning to attend medical school upon graduation. She had a nightmare of a time trying to straighten a bunch of red tape. Finally resolved a couple of weeks ago after being dragged out since January, 2006.

Also agree that people just sucking the system dry can do SOMETHING! So many of my patients are on welfare and disability and take much nicer vacations than I ever could. I'm not opposed to disability, don't get me wrong, but I know "check seekers" when I see them in clinical practice. I also know that I have a chronic illness that many others with fewer symptoms have gotten disability for. I work full time and teach part-time at a local university during the Fall and Spring, volunteer, and have a family. I can't imagine doing nothing--just wasn't raised that way. Ooohh, I'm back on my soapbox!

Illegal immigrants are "illegal" because they can't get into the country legally usually............ So they creep across the border and bring all their offspring that are able to work.....

This past week a motel owner (4 motels) got busted for transporting and working illegals in his motels..... He had them put up in his motel and then they worked for him also......

Some "nice" person reported him when too many of them couldn't speak English..... and noticed them all piled up together in the rooms. They thought it strange that many employees staying in a couple of rooms at the motel.

Yes, I too know of several women who have never worked a day in their lives...... nothing wrong with them, just have keep having kids, won't work..... SUCK THE SYSTEM..... and then laugh about it...

One girl I knew had 9 kids....... she worked in her maiden name, drew in her married name.... Her husband also drew on the kids in another state.

I do not have a problem with part of my wages going to "help" the elderly, or the truely disabled and handicapped...... BUT I DO OBJECT to having to struggle myself each month, and support some broad that doesn't want to work, just lay there and have kids..............

Yep, changes need to be made........
