Can someone give me some guidelines how to value personal property?My lawyer said use Goodwill ans Salvation Army prices. I am still not sure how to come up with the values. Any advice appreciated.

In my filing, I just put 'clothing items', '$200'. And most of that was from a leather jacket, a down jacket, and 2 samsonite travel bags... the rest were practically old worn out rags. Garage sale values are correct, unless clothing is new, in package and tags still attached.Comment

I have LOTS of clothing expensive jeans and I valued it like this....
How much would u pay for someone elses expensive jeans that they had sitting around there butt in there crotch not sure of whats going on under there pants? NOT MUCH so I est. it all to be no more than 250.00 I know I can get a buck for each item on ebay and say about 250 pieces would be $250.00Discharged... 2/13/07
