341 Meeting today

danielle - all of us stressed over our 341s...and the overwhelming consensus was it was not nearly as bad as we all feared. I bet you will experience the same feeling. Trust us the anticipation of the meeting is worse than the meeting...

to everyone, this is very true. anticipation of the 341 is in every
respect worse than the actuak meeting. It does not matter how
much of a jerk your trustee is (If she/he does turn out to be a
jerk) Keyword is RELAX.

It wasn't so bad....I did get questioned a little about my 8K tax return that I spent rather quickly....but it's because I don't know if you guys remember but my house got foreclosed on while I was in the hospital and I took NOTHING out of it. So I pretty much got to start over with the clothes I had on my back.

glad to know it went well D1981! Was your Trustee nice? Were there alot of people there? Do you feel more relieved now or more stressed waiting to see if there are objections? Is that what comes next? Must be nice to have that hurdle done and over with. Congrats!

Whew! One more bk 'to-do' is now checked off the list for you! woohoo! Since you were asked and able to explain where your tax return went in a reasonable way given your awful circumstances, that's a good thing. Really, CAB - the 341 meeting is not something to stress about (unless you are filing a deliberately fraudent bk - THEN you better be stressed out of your mind because you ARE out of your mind! )

You might get asked some informational questions about something that's flagged as out-of-the-ordinary on your documents during their initial review by the trustee and his staff. As long as what's on your forms is accurate and you can justify what's there if asked, odds are 99.9% you'll be just fine. Really.

Yes, my attorney tried to assure me that the Trustee probably would not question us about anything, as she was going over our papers she said really everything here looks thorough and you have a legitimate reason to be here~ it's just feeling like a child (me) again where the parent(judge and/or trustee) hold all of the cards, has rule over what happens.... don't like feeling or being in this position~ sounds kind of silly I guess but this whole thing makes me feel so (mixed emotions)~ quilty...childish...you name it.

Glad to hear your meeting went well!!!

I had my 341 meeting this morning and was very nervous. I could not stand it. I now know that I was worried for nothing. It went GREAT!!! I was very pleased with everything including my lawyer.

I am Very Happy with the way things turned out for me!
