    Notice To All Members

    We have a religious troll that has posted the same religious verse 68 times at the end of each thread on our forum........

    The purpose of this troll was to get his religious point of view across to us and to disrupt the forum.

    By posting at the end of OLD THREADS and bringing them forward he/she has disrupted all the threads that we have recently been discussing on.

    We will getting this issue under control today........bear with us!

    It is not the religious quote that is the problem............... it was the intent of disrupting the forum by posting at the end of old threads and bringing them forward. The continous posting of the same quote on each thread OFFERED nothing to our forum......

    Religous and political views, along with racial content needs to be kept to a minimum without being offensive to anyone...

    HOPEFULL THE PROBLEM IS NOW SOLVED................

    Looks like I'm gonna have to keep my "ugly stick" out of another day!!!

    With all the frustrations I carry from bankruptcy - I'll have a blast with my ugly stick!!!

      Minny,............

      As JeepMom found, that person was lifting content from other websites and then posting it here.

      Chances are, that person was not even a Pastor as claimed.

      Was this some random act, or possibly a person that was already banned coming back under a new name to create the disruption.

        Oh, I have question. Did YRUsodumb get banned for good? While I don't think his intentions when joining were good, I think in the end he kinda started to come around. I think I will always wonder if he was really having gambling issues......

              Usually when a member is banned and they come back on under another name and/or change IP addresses THEIR STYLE will give them away...... Its hard to break your style and habits in the way you key.....

              Take me for instance........ I am windy, and too the point..... never changes.

              LOL..... same style.... all the time..... till I get out my ugly stick!!!!

              Hopefully, with everyone helping keep me notified of the trolls, and bad postings we can keep it all under control....

                I agree that there must be some multiple users in here. Kinda' obsessive though, and odd. That's alot of time and effort to spend away from family, home, etc... We know Lightning has been under many monnikers, who knows who else. It's just wierd. Anyone with that kind of time to post in every thread has waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much free time, Christian or not...

                  Well, I've been warned for speaking up against one of these trolls....so I guess I won't say much. Those who have known me has surely seen the low tolerance I have for others bashing "real" people here going through really hard times. It got so bad with one troll that I even deleted most of my 7 months worth of posts because he was using what I had sincerely posted about against me. Oh well. It looks like forums reflect mere representations of the real world after all. You have real people and you have fake people and you have those who take sides.....and then you have little ole me

                    Other online forums I'm on right now are also having major troll issues - styles and approaches are pretty much the same. Anything is ok as long as it disrupts and gets the regular posters riled up.

                    After many years of experience online and moderating websites myself, truly the only way to get rid of trolls is to have very good moderators (yay, Minny and her ugly stick!) and, most importantly, for the regulars to ignore them and NOT POST in return. Like an obscene phone caller, when you hang up without saying a word over and over, the calls will stop because it's no fun to say bad things to a dead line

                    My personal thanks go to all our moderators for their hard work that keeps BankruptcyForum the best bk forum on the Net!

                      Minny, do you have an extra ugly stick??? I need one badly! This has been a heck of a week with dh in the hospital, kids starting school and adjusting, my family acting like themselves (my brother called to check on my dh last night and proceeded to complain about my son--never says anything nice about his only nephew), and one of my vehicles breaking down yesterday!!

                      Come to think of it, maybe I don't need an ugly stick--could be dangerous!!

                        Oh, Jane - what a crummy week you've had! Some might say, "Tie a knot and hang on" but you'd have to make a whole macrame panel, girl! What is it about life that it must test our outer limits just when we have the lowest ability to deal with anything outside the norm? Hope things smooth out for you soon (and until then, there's us!)

                          I thought it interesting that after a few comments I made BACK to LP, I was notified that someone with an IP of ....... I can give it to you, I think I still can find it.....tried to give me a virus/worm ...sent it to me....anyway luckily my NAV kicked it out~ but I wondered if any others had that problem as well....
                          I've enjoyed being on here, it has helped me a lot!
                          I kind of got carried away myself last night with this troll person~ I guess it was the mood I was in~ I probably said a few things to them that I shouldn't and while I could apologize to them~ i'll just apologize to you and the rest of the readers here~ I got kind of tacky~ no excuse is good, but I guess I was just in the right mood!

                            The best advice is

                            DON'T Feed the TROLLS!

                            This is a hard lesson to learn. I think all of us have that, "gotta fight back and defend ourselves" mentality, but it just creates more problems, and adds more fuel to the trolls' fire.
