Hi all
I am discharged from my Ch7 and signed a reaffirm agreement to keep my car which I only owe $2K. I ran into some financial problems because my summer vacation pay was less than the reg school year. This was something that I did not anticipate. I wrote the bank sending a certified letter - along with copies of my stubs so that the bank would not think I was scamming them. I finally got a call today. The woman said that they could not defer my July and August payments( like I had suggested to the end of my loan) because of my recent Bk. She asked when will I make July's payment and I said I will send a payment when I get paid on August 31 and that was the best I can do because that's the next time I get paid again. She sounded disappointed but when I gave them a copy of my stubs it indicated when I was getting paid and how much. I said that I will catch up in September which is what I sent in writing. She said that she will note that on my acct. The word repo was mentioned if I didn't pay (dah!!) Needless to say I didn't get any sympathy they just want to see the green

That stinks...we had gotten our BK discharged and was working on cleaning up our credit and raising our scores.... life was good. Then my son got hurt and racked up over $700.00 worth of medical bills....(high medical bills is why we filed in the first place). So as we have made payment plans, and are slowly getting back on track.
ok this is a sugguestion, (i'm sure most will disagree with). However what about making your behind payment with your CC card. I understand you will have interest and all, but avoiding a repo, which would incure a whole slue of extra avoidable charges. You will still be paying off your cc in September, and possibly get it in before the finace charges apply. Just an idea.
good luck

I thought about that, but then I realized that I get paid 8/31 and my next car insurance installment is due 8/28. I don't think that they will delay my payment by 3 days - they probably will try to cancel it due to non-payment which is the last thing I need. I was going to use the CC to pay car insurance installment and yesterday I needed it to pay for the dead battery in my 8 year old car. Back to school is right around the corner too and I have been buying school supplies little by little. I just need to get my 3 teens some clothes and sneakers. My daughter will need black pants and white tops so that's not bad. Boys are a bit different, but they want jeans. Its the sneakers that break the bank. I just got this CC and don't want to ring it up, but at least SO started a new job this week. He will get a check next week (for 1 week) and then he should get a reg check 3 weeks from today. My reg school pay will kick in mid-Sept I just have to get thru the next few weeks and I should be fine. Now my car is another story!

I know what you mean by back to school costs.....even though my boys are young, this is the first year of double everything. my oldest is in 4th, and my youngest is attending 1st grade (last year he needed nothing), this year, they both have huge lists......they each need 2 pairs of gym shoes?? one for school, and one to leave at school for gym....ugh!! I have it a little easier since they don't complain what I dress them in, it's me who cares more about the styles..LOL.. .LOL
Good luck!
