    New Job/fingerprinting

I hope someone knows the answer to this question!!! I just got a new job as a school nurse and I have to be fingerprinted. I do not and never have had a criminal record but am worried that they will see that I have filed CH7 BK.

Does anyone know if they will see that or if it is just strictly a background criminal check? Any input would be very, very helpful.

    Thank you!!!

Interesting....the finger printing thing must be from all the school voilence thats occured. You're BK shouldn't come up from a background check...but it will to noticed if they run a credit check on you. Did you sign a release for them to perform a credit check on you?

The release that I signed didn't say anything about a credit check. It had criminal background check, verification of my last 7 years of addresses ( I could only remember my last two which is a total of six years) , and verification of prior employment/termination.

I know that I have never been terminated from a job but should I run down there and tell them that I forgot an address as I couldn't remember it? I don't start working for them until September. Should I tell my supervisor that I filed so it isn't a suprise???

If you didn't sign a consent for a credit check then you should be ok. I use to work for a bank and I had to be fingerprinted too. They never checked my credit. I personally would not tell my employer, im still hoping my employer will not find out about our bk once we file either and I would never say anthing to him before hand. I work in an office with him all day and he's use the type of person that would judge me if I told him. Hoping if we have to do a chapter 13 that they will deduct from my husbands paycheck if needed.

I wouldn't tell your supervisor anything about it. It's your personal business. Unless it specifically asks on an application whether or not you have filed BK, then you don't have to disclose the info to them.
