    Help Me Please!!!!!

One of the creditors that I have had NOTHING but trouble with since day one has listed "charged off as bad debt" on my credit report, instead of "included in bankruptcy."

What do I need to do to clear this up?

Also, one of my creditors hasn't even shown me IN bankruptcy yet... what do I need to do about that?
BUSY running my own credit repair services! Sorry I don't stop in so often any more!

I have had the exact same problem! I found three errors on my credit report 6 months after BK. I contacted one of the credit cards and they had me fax them my discharge summary and all my contact information and they said it would take them 10 days to update the credit report.

Now for the sticky mess! My husband and I bought a little cheap car from a buy here pay here lot. Well, after we were late BY TWO DAYS, they came an repossessed the car, and wanted $500 to get it back out. So, we let them keep it. Little did I know they reported it to my credit report (they didn't even use my credit as a factor in getting the car, I didn't know they could use it against me??)

Anyways, they have not updated their records and when I called the owner I informed him that we had filed Ch 7 and their records had not been updated. He said "No, you still owe us the $3100, bankruptcy just means we can't go after you for the money, but you still owe the money, that's still money you didn't pay." I explained to him that Ch 7 whipes the slate clean. He said he would have his secretary look into it and hung up on me.

I contacted my BK lawyer who said to just dispute it with the credit reporting agency and they should take care of it.

Anyone else had any trouble with this???

All you have to do is tell the CRA that it was included in BK and all will be fine. That happened to me before and now it is all good... All CRAs make mistakes like that...

TU and EQX fixed mine right away WITHOUT faxing copies of my BK papers. I did it online and asked that the statement read "included in bankruptcy" and balance due $0". Experien is the one I'm having problems with. They have me down for 3 BK since 1998 when of course I've only had ONE. All three CA showed that I had a $15000 balance instead of $0. NOT GOOD. But like I two of them changed it with no hassle.
