If your case was already discharged and closed without listing this creditor and the debt wasn't repurchased from another creditor that was on your original credit matrix, then you still owe the radiology bill.Originally posted by naturechapter 7 and yes discharged and closed and i live in arkansas
How did you find out about the bill? Were you contacted by the original bill issuer or did they sell the debt to a debt collection agency?I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Sounds like this debt has been purchased from the original creditor. There are several well-known attorney collectors - who sent your notice?Originally posted by natureLetter is from a attorney.. and it says for me to send payment directly to his office within 30 days...there is no address for original creditor..just says radiologist
How old is this debt? Which state do you live in? (I'm asking to see if the debt could be older than your state's statute of limitations.)I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Nature, the key here is whether you were an asset or no-asset case:Originally posted by natureUnder old bk law..if a creditor was not listed are u still liable for the bill .. radiology bill.. i had no ideal existed
Old Law, No-Asset: All unsecured debts are discharged, including this one. Just send them your discharge notice.
Old Law, Asset: This is more complicated since the creditor didn't receive notice. Might require an attorney?
New Law: No idea.
Best regards, and breathe easy =)
