    Credit rebuilding process

Our Ch 13 was discharged in May 2015. I decided we need to start rebuilding our credit. In the next year or so, we will need a new car. Both of our cars are running fine, but they are 12+ years old. While I don't really want credit cards again, I decided to try for a credit card, not really sure what the results will be. Was approved for a Capital One, $3000 $0 annual fee card. Interest rate is high, 24%, but since I will never carry a balance again, I don't care.

I did not have a Capital one card before, so I didn't discharge them. I do have savings in Capital one, not sure if either played a role. I wasn't expecting to receive a credit limit that high, even though my income would support it.

Anyway, on our way to financial improvement. I am putting $1k a month away in retirement and also saving money in our emergency fund, with money left over every month.

What a great feeling to finally be financial free after so many years of struggling.
    Discharged 5/2015
