care credit card for dental work

I applied for care credit no interest card for dental work online. I applied for 3000, it aproved me instantly for 1000, and told me to call if needed a higher cr line.
it is no interest if paid off in 12mos. Of course it is for dental or medical needs only.
My bankruptcy was discharged 5-2009. So I guess I am rebuilding my credit.

You know, thanks for this post... my husband is in need of dental work that ... hang on.... we just got a quote for... wait for it.... 40k!!!! 40k in dental work!!! And its really not something we can just not do ... his health kind of depends on it.

Hubby was not included on my BK and I went to the site and applied for him...they, did not approve for 40k haha... but 2.4k ... which is something. With our dental insurance and this credit saying that we could potentially have the provider get the limit increased, we may be able to do little chunks of his dental work at a time and then pay it off...do some more.

So, thank you for posting this ... I didn't know about a dental credit program.

For what its worth I applied with myself as well and they denied me for having a bankruptcy on my record... go figure.

I used a dental school for implants and years ago I have had a plan years ago called Dental Source and they were out of Kansas City, MO or KS.

I checked florida univ of florida clinic in St Petersburg, they only take first 7 people per pay, and former clients. so I guess I will go with local dentist if reasonable. Will see what happens wednesday.

it certainly was not my favorite experience in life.. but they wanted another 2k to knock me out and we had NOTHING left on our cars...now...PLEASE understand this was not for cosmetic reasons....i had to have my entire right side of my face rebuilt...and they initially removed my teeth to get into the bones in my face....then the tell me if i do NOT put the teeth back the bones will collapse in my face........it was a no win situation...and such an expensive procedures....i had undergo 5 surgeries...and that's what left us in debt over 200k....since we reached our insurance cap for two years in roll; and used the charge cards to pay....

oh! and we went to university hospital because it was done cheapest there and the doctor i had knew we were stuck...but it was awful...and then after moving to florida i still had 3 times i had to go back...i want that behind me more than our bk!! LOL!

I have lousy dental insurance as well. My dentist demands full payment on the day of service. Is that the norm now?

It's good to know that I might be able to get credit from Care Credit after a discharge for some dental work. I'm going to try to save up the $2200 that it will cost me though, so I don't have to go into debt.

I don't know how people can afford dental work these days. The cost keeps going up and up but people's incomes are not.
