    Question about Adversary Proceedings.

What is an example of an Adversary Proceeding and when do they normally occur - if they are going to happen - in a consumer debt Chapter 13 case?

    Just curious.

Rule 7001 of the Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure defines adversary proceedings:

An everyday example would be if your credit card company decided to challenge the dischargeability of your debt to them; they would file an adversary proceeding.

They will generally come before your discharge, but it is not unheard of for them to come after discharge -- for instance, an action to revoke a discharge comes after the discharge.
Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.
