Can someone explain to me in plain English what the following terms mean in my 13data center account.

Claim Amount - why is this different from the scheduled amount?

Hopefuly I can help you out a little & if I get any of these wrong, someone will come along & correct me.

Okay, The plan base is the amount you will pay to the trustee over the course of your bankruptcy.

The claim amount is how much the creditor claims you owe them. If this is 0.00, then that means they did not file a claim.

The scheduled amount is how much you actually are going to pay, but take into account the percentage listed for that particular claim.
-example, if the scheduled claim amount is 1,000 & the % of claim to be paid is listed as 25%, then you will be paying that creditor $250.00.

      Lynn12,
Thank you so much for the reply. I do know that we are listed at 100%. Sorry about the format on my first post but, if I total everything from any of the columns (claim or scheduled amounts) ....it exceeds my plan base by a very large margin Any thoughts?

Mathom1, as far as I know, the plan base is the total of the principal paid (amount the trustee has already pd your creditor) & principal owed columns. (amount the trustee still needs to pay to your creditor) or multiply your monthly payment x the number of months your plan is set for. (example, $1,000.00 payment monthly, x 36 month plan = 36,000.00)

Now I took your mortgage and broke it down to explain what each amount is so you can see why adding the scheduled amounts or claim amounts would be more than your plan base.

        MORTGAGE ARREARS $12,127.21 $3,280.00 $294,536.00 $8,847.21

It looks like your mortgage company submitted a claim for $12,127.21 for the arrears. (claim amount)

The trustee has already paid them $3,280.00 towards the arrears. (principal paid)

The total you still owe your mortgage company is $294,536.00 (scheduled amount) -this is your entire mortgage, not the arrears you included in your bk filing.

The trustee intends to pay $8,847.21 more towards the arrears. (principal owed)

        Hopefully this helped.

I'm not a lawyer & this is not legal advice

This may vary by district. In my case, the only scheduled amount is the lawyer's fee, everyone else is 0.00. There is just claim amount, principal paid and principal due.

In my case, the scheduled amount is the amount listed on my petition.

Yeah, I think the scheduled amount should be what you listed on your petition, and really has nothing to do with anything.
If you click on claim summary, then click on the individual claim numbers you can see details about what has been paid and when.
Not the claimant name, but the little number to the left of the name. Then on the ledger screen you can see all the little checks
going out (and some coming back).
